Before Christmas time, I offered my once-per-year special of gift a session to a friend or family and receive a complimentary session for yourself! Kaja was the first person to purchase the deal, and I was so excited when she did. I had previously taken Kaja and Wyatt’s wedding photos when they got married two summers ago at Bristol Harbor in New York, so I was even more excited to get to be able to take their photos again!
Styled Wedding Shoots are SO Fun | Colorado Adventure Wedding Photographer
As the title of this post says, styled shoots are SO much fun. This was a classic boho wedding shoot put on by Gabby Mundie with Chickadee Kisses Photography and she did a gorgeous job bringing it all together. My favorite part about these shoots is getting to colaborate with local vendors in the Colorado wedding industry. We shot at Once Upon a Time Wedding & Events Center in Kiowa, and it was just GORGEOUS and had all sorts of boho vibes. They constructed a wedding barn for the venue that overlooks some amazing landscape. Not to mention, it has a gorgeous outdoor deck area with cute string lights, and two cute vintage renovated campers. Talk about charm! Sander Ranch Florals from Castle Rock provided the perfect touch of creme and greenery to go with the vibe for this classic boho wedding shoot. Not only were the flowers gorgeous, but so were the dresses. Parker Secret Closet takes donated dresses and gives them to girls in need- what an amazing charity! I personally loved the long lace veil that they provided as well. Not that the girls needed extra pretty’ing, but Julia Makeup Studio sure gave them some extra glam for their big day.
Colorado Springs Family Portraits | Perry Family
Wow, what a cute little family. The Perrys came to me for one of their first family portraits in a few years. It was definitely time for some updated family pictures for them. It was a perfect sunny day in the Springs and fortunately, we were graced with some fresh snow. We took the pictures at Rock Ledge Ranch inside Garden of the Gods. I had never been there before and was excited to shoot at a new location in Colorado Springs. It ended up being PERFECT. Lots of different backgrounds for some wonderful pictures. Despite being a little chilly, the pictures turned out wonderfully. The Perry family was great, and I can’t wait to work with them again in the future!

Abbey & Ben | Married

A backcountry wedding in the Blue Ridge Mountains

This post is one I’ve been anxious to write for a while. I’ve anxiously awaited Abbey and Ben’s wedding for a few years now. Abbey and I were roommates freshman year of college at Penn State and have been friends ever since. She and Ben didn’t start dating until senior year of college, and they were a match made in heaven. They met at BioLife as they were both employees there and hit it off from the start. In the fall of our senior year, I did my first photo session with them and we got a few sunset shots at the Arboretum on campus, and a year or so later, I did another couple’s session with them at the same location. Abbey had always said that she wanted me to be her wedding photographer, so I was just waiting for the big moment for them to get engaged.
