Kaja & Wyatt | Married

A gorgeous lakeside Bristol Harbour Wedding

Writing these blog posts is always so difficult for me. Not because I don’t know what to say about these gorgeous weddings, but because it’s challenging to sum up an entire day in a few short paragraphs. To put it simply, Kaja & Wyatt’s day was absolutely spectacular. My goodness. Gorgeous flowers galore, AHHmazing views overlooking the lake, and most importantly, a madly-in-love laid-back couple who was so excited to get married. Perfection.

Sarah & Rachel Taylor | Married

A glamorous wedding in Downtown Rochester

It’s pretty fun to be able to attend weddings as both a guest AND a photographer. Being a photographer, with lots of friends and family of the getting-married age, I find myself playing this dual role often. It definitely has it’s perks and makes my job as a photographer even that much more fun. I’ve known Rachel for a long time, as her cousin will soon become my handsome husband, and was so thrilled when she and Sarah wanted me to photograph their big day. It truly couldn’t have been more perfect. The simplicity of their personalities was contrasted with the gorgeous flowers and venue they had arranged. It was a perfect mix of classy, yet simple with nothing to outshine the love they share for one another.

A backcountry wedding in the Blue Ridge Mountains

This post is one I’ve been anxious to write for a while. I’ve anxiously awaited Abbey and Ben’s wedding for a few years now. Abbey and I were roommates freshman year of college at Penn State and have been friends ever since. She and Ben didn’t start dating until senior year of college, and they were a match made in heaven. They met at BioLife as they were both employees there and hit it off from the start. In the fall of our senior year, I did my first photo session with them and we got a few sunset shots at the Arboretum on campus, and a year or so later, I did another couple’s session with them at the same location. Abbey had always said that she wanted me to be her wedding photographer, so I was just waiting for the big moment for them to get engaged.

Rachel & Dillon | Married

October 1, 2016 · 1 Comment

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

A classic yet simple country club wedding | Canandaigua Country Club in Rochester, NY

This was my last wedding of the summer season, and it was absolutely amazing and by far the happiest wedding I’ve ever photographed!!

I had gotten in touch with Rachel and Dillon the previous November, as Dillon’s uncle was my high school math teacher and told me his nephew was looking for a wedding photographer. Shortly after getting in touch with them and meeting them for coffee over Thanksgiving break, I knew they were the perfect fit. Even from our first meeting, I could tell how in love they were with each other. Dillon wanted the day to be perfect for Rachel and would do anything to make her happy.
